Did I just pay for directions?
No. The directions are free. You may be thinking of a different, worse website. Ours has never charged you and, on this version, cannot.
Are these directions any good?
They are directionally correct. They will tell you to get in your car and drive toward your destination, which is, structurally, how the trip works. For turn-by-turn precision down to the exact off-ramp, we defer to the mapping app already on your phone.
Why does a travel site not sell flights?
We looked into selling flights. It turns out you need airplanes, pilots, fuel, insurance, and a federal certificate. We have a text field and a barcode that means nothing. We stayed in our lane.
What is the boarding pass for?
Morale. It is not valid for boarding anything. It will not get you into a lounge, onto a plane, or past a person whose job is checking boarding passes. It looks nice. That is the entire feature.
How do you make money if it is free?
When you finish reading directions to a place eleven hours away and quietly reconsider your life, the hotel and rental-car links become very persuasive. If you book through one, we earn a small commission. That is the whole business. We are rooting for your bad decision.
Can I speak to a human?
There is no call center. There is no one on hold for you. There is one person who built this as a joke and a mapping database that is, frankly, doing most of the work. If something is genuinely wrong, the feedback goes to a real inbox that is checked with real, if occasional, sincerity.
Is this a scam?
A scam takes your money and gives you nothing. We take no money and give you directions. We are, if anything, the opposite of a scam. We are a favor with a logo.
